I just bought a Leather Coral from my LFS, I just noticed there is alil star fish in there it has 6 legs. Is it reef safe? I couldn't get a good pic but its really small.

asterina stars. some (including myself), do not like them. They are considered reef safe as they should only eat coralline. Once the corallines gone, they either starve away to manageable levels, or start eating soft corals as a substitute. Most have no issues. I had issues and am currently blaming them.

I haven't had any issues with mine. I have about 10 that I can count. I don't have corals, but I they don't seem to be eating my coraline either. But then again, I don't care if they do, because it's growing out of control!!
