    I've come around a little bit. I used to hate mine and want them gone, but now I feed them because it's kind of cool when they grab the food. But I don't like when they actually come out of the rocks and I can see all of them! Then creepy for sure.

    They have been known to damage corals. I was fragging one day and felt something tickling my arm. When I looked down I saw a micro brittle star crawling up my arm. I jumped and dropped the frag.:)

    Just doing a quick Google search the consensus is they are reef safe. But each starfish is different. I'm sure others on here will know!

    the micro brittles are very beneficial, they will crawl in nooks and search for food. They will also stick their legs out of rocks and grab food. I have thousands in my tank, never any issues.

    Asterinas are another story, but you have micro brittles.

    Brittle stars are harmless. I have quite a few of them. You can place them in your DT and you will be lucky to see their legs creeping out of your LR from time to time.
