    hey my green star polyps are coming out everyday and looking really good, but ive seen pics of them and its tottalllyyyy greeennn!! mine are just green only half way to the tip, is this a problem and also how fast do they spread i have around 8 inches of it and was wondering how fast of growers they are to? thanks.

    how old are they?

    new growth on my GSP starts out like you describe and they darken up over time...

    or you might have a morph...

    My GSP look the same as you describe yours. I don't have a clue what's wrong with em. It may be a morph like Peredhil suggested. Mine don't seen to spread either. I'm actually gonna frag some and see it they would spread then.
    Also, how much water movement are they under? Strong, medium, low?
    I've heard that too much flow and they won't spread but I'm unsure about too little flow.
    Mine are under very little flow.

    well i have a rotating powerhead and its httin em around medium to low flow, and i bought the tank from a guy and it had the corals in there so im thinking they are around 5 months old, they come out really big and stuff too, oh and i was jsut looking at my pom pom xenia and they are usally pulsing really good and fast buut now they are barely pulsing at all and thoughts????!!?!

    Im pretty sure that light intensity also effects the color as well. I have a patch close to my t-5s and there very bright, I also have a seperate piece that I fragged off the first piece that I tried to attach to a power head and fell off and I just left it there on the bottom of the tank and it is more of a darker color.

    yeah, well i talked to a guy over at my LFS and he said that its jsut the type of GSP, so idk reallly its just the way they i guess lol
