Star polyp still retracted

    Haven't seen it show itself yet. I wonder if it is ok. I have had it in the tank several hours.

    can take up to a week for coral to aclimitize to a new tank give it some time

    I have a couple of pieces of star polyp in my tank and every once in a while one will close up for a day here or there DO NOT PANIC My largest colony of star polyp closed up for 2 Weeks one time and then opened up and looked better than ever. give it time and make sure no other corals are touching it . good luck let us know when it comes back and how long it takes.8)

    Ditto on the time waiting, esp. when its only been hrs. Do you have the proper lighting? Have you checked your water?

    I have a new tank. Green stars were my first coral. They did not open until the next morning. But they've been very happy ever since.
