I attempted to take a picture but my camera is so horrible and out-dated that everything is horribly blurry and yea.... just crap...

    SOOOO...

I ended up having to rebuild my 8g biocube thanks to some base rock that I put in (after washing with fresh water then soaking in some salt water) it made my ph drop down below 7 ... so I ended up pulling my GSP and Clowns/snails/crabs out and tossing them in the QT tank till my 8g is good again..

Well, all my params are starting to normal out (about 3 more days should be good) but last night and this morning - I'm seeing ALOT of Star Polyps showing up on "ALL" of the rocks... I have 3 nice chunks of rock inside that total about 11lbs and the smallest rock has 2 of these un-identified star polyps growing on it. The largest rock, has close to 31 on it and they are spaced out just a little bit. Now, they look EXACTLY like my GSP but their base is pink and the actual Star Polyp part is cream color.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but yea... Feel my pain!!! ugg...

Once my 8g is good, I have some pulsing xenia going in there too then i'll be finished adding stuff.

So yea, this Cream colored Star Polyp..... any clues? and why did they not show up from the start?

could just be GSP that have lost their color, they can do that if in bad/no lighting for extended periods, takes a really long time for them to actually die their a very resilient coral

Or could be a yellow star polyp they do exist just not very frequently found
