    Just found him,i think it's an asterina but only has 5 legs?Best pic i could get of several tries.I thought i'd throw a fts in there too,as you can see,i'm going through my green phase :angry:

    kinda looks like an asterina, not 100% sure though.

    I'm thinking the same as i had one in my last reef tank(hitchhiker)but he had 6 legs.I'll google and see.thanks

    Ok,i found some pics of 5 legged asterinas,but still not sure,it could be,but mine looks a tad different??Mabey just my old eyes.

    Looks like asterina to me. They always have different amounts of legs. I have some with 2 legs, some with 5, some with 7, etc. They reproduce by shedding legs, so they never have the same number.

    Thanks KC,i know they divide to multiply,but for some reason,i was thinking they always had 6 or 7 legs.I know some say they can be pest,but i like em.If i start seeing a few,i'll throw some in my fowlr.

    That looks like an asterinid. The blue ones tend to eat coralline algae.

    He mostly white,definatly not blue.Does that help?

    I like them too. They are so cute!!! They are one of my favorite things in my tank. I have some that are just one big leg (Technically, I guess that's two) LOL they are so funny.

    A little, individually they don't do much damage to the coralline.
