This guy is about 2-3 inches from tip to tip. 3 other forums and LFS have no idea what he is. He ventures through glass, sand and LR.

Couple of pictures I have gathered over last couple weeks.

Keep a close eye on that one. Knobby starfish can be coral eaters. Can't help on the ID.

Great...I also have a brittle starfish which I fed silversides last night. Any recommendations as to what to feed the two of these guys?

Also, if I happen to find out this starfish (although beautiful) will be harmful to other things in the tank, could I possibly get a pair of harlequin shrimp? (without harming the brittle)

I could also tank it to my LFS.

The Harlequins will kill the brittle, I don't think you can directly feed the star.

Stars are generally scavenger type feeders, they eat what gets in their way. The brittle will do the same but since you were able to feed it a silveside it would do that weekly or so. If it is a green brittle then it will actively hunt your fish as it gets larger.

Wow, looks nothing like that yet. The "thorns" are no where near that large or pointy.

To me it looks most like a common sea star. But I have no clue.

Mine's "spikes" are a little more pronounced. I guess that's not it.

Just check that website someone gave earlier and nothing looks familiar.

I guess the other starfish I have is not a brittle star. I think its a bristle star. The ones that have long serpent like legs, black with lots of...you guessed it, bristles!! He is the one I fed a small piece of a silver side to.
