    Hi Everyone,

I found my Fromia Starfish with what appears to be necrosis this morning. I took him out and placed him in my fuge. I've also soaked some mysis shrimp this morning because my Coral Beauty has white cotton-like spots on his side and fins. My aquarium now has this smell that I cant quite describe. Could it be the starfish or garlic in the water?

    Thanks in advance

Most starfish never really survive in a reef tank since nobody really knows what their diet is.

Get him out of the tank and run some activated carbon to get rid of any toxins released (will also help with the smell).

The cotton like spots on the coral beauty's side and fins sounds like some type of bacterial or fungal infection. Try to get some pictures up ASAP!
