Hi i put this thread in the asap coz im not sure if its a major problem or not.

I added a starfish yesterday (i can provide its scientific name - FROMIA INDICA) and this evening i noticed its sitting on a rock with its middle in the air with what can only be described as whisps of fluid coming from its base (where the legs meet the body!) is this normal?????

Cleaner shrimp seems to be all over him.

Also i added a frogspawn coral and a piece of goniopora coral, and today as soon as the main lights went out and the blues came on my cleaner shrimp was all over the two of them! witch caused them both to close up and shut down! Is this ok and will the corals recover from this?????

My params are all fine, and have had nothing that has worried me recently with the tank.

Any advice and help greatly appreciated.

It could be spawing. Also, they do eat small amounts of Calcium carbonate and they poo that out.
