So, I had bought some live rock over a month ago and everything is going really well...

This morning my lights flipped on and was checking out the tank to see if everyone was doing well when I saw a hermit crab with something on its back...

I was confused and took a closer look and saw that it was a starfish!

No bigger than a dime size...

Anyway, just wanted to share the fun hitchhiker story :)

I have no idea... To be honest, I saw him a couple weeks ago on the back wall of the tank and thought he got sucked up by the filter...

I'll have to take a picture later tonight...

It looks pretty ordinary though, kind of tanish..

its probably a asterina starfish. they stay small. there common hitchhikers. some people pull them out some dont. i have had them in every single tank i dont believe the multiply fast enough to cause a problem

I also have a lot of Anemones popping up too...

Although all my levels are perfect now... The tank is still fairly new.

Worried they will not make it but, so far they are all growing...

    You are totally right!

They kind of resemble an anemone though... Are they alright to have in a tank?
