    what would be the best starfish for a 29g nano cube reef tank?????

    Sorry IMO there is not one. Prehaps a type of brittle star, but most others run out of the necessary film algaes that they eat. A starfish need a larger established system to survive long term. Most slowly starve to death. The only one that seems somewhat suitable is the chocolate star but they are not reef safe.

    If you go the brittle star route stay away from the green serpent stars, they can become fish eaters.

    serpeant star maybe. feed what ever you get, serpeants will eat any food you put near them.

    Serpent stars are ok, and won't catch fish. Any others, and you risk starvation, or them eating your corals/fish.

    The green brittles are the most notorious of the fish-eaters, but black brittles are known to do it too, along with all the other brittle stars.

    Try a marble sea star .. they are a smaller species.
