Looks like it has just started, i noticed a few green fuzzy spots on my rock, then i looked at my glass and it's getting green spots all over it!!! My tank isint done cycling yet, it will turn 7 weeks in a few days. Ammonia is 10 nitrite is .25 and nitrate is still high. I don't think i should add clean up crew just yet as the ammonia and nitrite isint at 0 yet. Lights are on for 2 hours a day at the most for viewing, i guess i will cut that down to 0. What can i do? i really don't want to have to add any chemical, so should i just wait it out?

I would wait it out and keep the lights off. Cover the tank to remove all light if you can. Its most likely feeding off high nitrates from the cycle and should die down after cycle.

I got a little bit of that when my tank was just about to finish cycling. So maybe you're almost there! Woohoo! Mine just died off on it's own, too.

ok, tank is right next to a window, though i've had the blinds closed during the construction that's been going on, i guess i'll throw a blanket over the tank

Be careful not to cut off the oxygen supply. Still needs lots of fresh air.

    + for your awesome patience
