    1. are you using rodi water?
    2. what lighting do you use
    3. the reason for cooking rocks is to get anything alive in then to die... then you soak them in an acidic solution to pull out the phosphates. they go back in with NOTHING in or on them
    4. if your corals are looking to be in bad shape then there is something larger wrong and we will have to figure it out... but it prolly stems from the answer to question #1

    What are your pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrate and phosphate levels at?
    When was the last time you changed bulbs?

    Your problems are right there with your nitrate and phosphate numbers. You should be at 10 or less on nitrate and below .05 on phosphate.

    How often and how mush water do you change? How often do you feed? Do you use carbon and granulated ferric oxide?

    you may want to check the TDS on your RODI unit then...
    phosphate = algae
    nitrates = unhappy coral

    Using GFO will help control the phosphate. If you are using frozen food, rinse it before feeding the fish.

    Clean all equipment thoroughly to remove any detritus in it. How often do you change filter media and what type of filtration do you have? Do you use a skimmer?

    For filtration I use live rock, a phosban reactor and a skimmer. The skimmer is a ASM G-3 skimmer. My equipment is a little dirty ill clean that, and Dingo ill check my tds right now.
