What should I add for filterfeeders?

I have the reef test kit but I haven't tested anything yet, I'll definitely watch the water before I get any corals.

haha I don't know why zoas are so popular!! They're those boring brownish ones that sort of resemble red blood cells in shape right? *snore*

Hey Katie, in my experience they just popped up. Got a whole lot of tube worms, couple bivalves, 2-3 different kinds of sponges. 2nd year into my tank and still no corals, just started to plan for them. But like that motto that goes around here, Go slow let it grow. Don't get to excited and go out, buy $150 in corals and bring them home just to have them die on you because of a pH drop due to some fluke, no not the worm.

Oh goodness no! Zoos/palys come in a limitless amount of different colors, probably even more so than mushrooms. Check out a few websites, they can give you a real good idea. My favorite coral website:

Also look at palys... like a zoa but larger in appearance anyway.
