    For a 75 I would go ahead and step up to the 1500 for safety measure. With 700gph youre running less than 10x through your sump.. While you really dont want more than that, what you are paying for is peace of mind and redundancy of having 2 drain pipes as opposed to one. Its just a good idea, plus it will be better for the tank to have more surface skimming ability.
