So all but one of my fish in my 92gallon corner died from Velvet parasite. The blue hippo tang survived and must have been the carrier of the parasite. I am putting him in a QT and going to try and treat him with copper. I am not going to put him back in my display tank. Will give him back to the LFS after I treat him and they can do whatever they want with it.

I am leaving my tank fishless with only coral and inverts for 2 months so the parasites die off with no fish to host.

I originally tried to do a mix of aggessive fish and some corals. I got fish that would outgrow the tank and I dont want to do that again.

All the coral in my tank and inverts are doing great so I am going to make this a true reef tank.

I never really got into reef safe fish so not sure what I want to stock it with. Maybe some nice clowns, reefsafe wrasse.

What are the biggest reef safe fish I could get? No tangs at all right?

I would just like some opinions on what fish you guys would put in a 92gallon corner reef tank.

I have maxspect razor 160watt LEDs. A 20gal Fuge. A phosban reactor and a 6inch Octopus Recirculating Skimmer.

    Thanks

Yes to both of those, plus pretty much any Goby and/or Blenny, Gramma (Royal is my favorite), Cardinal, Chromis, Dwarf Angels (w/ caution, known to nip at some corals), Firefish, maybe smaller Anthias, Hogfish, etc. Plenty of choices as you can see!

I would personally stay away from any of the larger fish (i.e. Tangs, Butterfly, Rabbit/Foxface) with that size tank. Although I am sure some have kept such fish successfully in the past.

You could do smaller tangs like the flame fin or chevron tang. The flame fin is my personal favorite.

Chevron tang would be a nice add! Very pretty fish. Flame angel, also very small, and pretty. Occy clowns (tank bred) also very hardy, fun fish to watch.

I have a 92 Gallon Corner as well

    Here is my stock list
    2 osc clowns
1 naso tang (he is getting big so Ill be removing him soon)
    1 yellow tang
    1 blue hippo
    1 lemonpeel angel
    1 lemon damsel
    1 fiji devil damsel
    1 lawnmower blenny
    1 hawkfish

The trick with tangs is get them very very small then you can enjoy them for a couple of years, I think my naso is on a grown hormone or something I bought him 16 months ago and he was just over 1.5 inches now he is pushing 6.

According to LA (which is not always 100% accurate), they get to 11" and need a minimum of 180 gallons!

    Chevron Tang

Yeah, like I said. I have seen several in captivity but have never seen one over 6 inches or so.
