If money is no object, then go for MH 2-150w bulbs.

Buy the cheapest lights possible then send the leftover "bundle" my way!!!;D

I heard that 2 150W MH are just enough for a 55 if you don't want any restrictions on corals. I am buying 2 250's for my 55 so if I want to upgrade these lights will work on anything up to 100 gallons. This was a suggestion from Tangster. So if I were you I would go with 2 250w MH with a good reflector/ballast combo.

Also the cost difference from 150-250 is very nominal. Now about that extra money you have lying around...;D

There are so many to choose from; craigslist, ebay, aquatrader, marine depot....etc etc. Try this guy hombby, I bought my lights from him.

Matters if you are a DIY'r or you just want to spend the money on a contained light fixture. Check Grainger, that is where KOgle got his MH ballast pretty cheap that we put together.

i have a 75 reef with mostly sps corals. the deluxe fixture is from hamilton with the hammertone, 2-250 se mh and 4-65 pc with electronic ballasts. if your gonna have a hamilton deluxe light fixture make sure they use hammertone, the standard fixtures come white.
