I agree, start off with sterile tank and add ammonia to cycle.
I don't know why the heater as they are best kept between 68° and 74°F and most homes aren't colder than that.
The brine shrimp are best hatched out, then grown out for a day, and then enriched for two 12 hour stages with new water and new enrichment each stage. Then feed tot he dwarfs. Dan's Feed from seahorsesource.com is the best enrichment to use.
You should practice the hatch to enrichment routine to know ahead of time that you are in for a continuing PITA practice of hatching the brine every few days.

Actually, if you go to seahorse.org you will find countless numbers of hobbyists more knowledgeable that I am on seahorses.
I've seen one or two posting here occasionally.

That's a lot of seahorses! I don't know what I am going to do with them once they start multiplying! CCritters is almost too good to be true, are they very reliable?

dude, just telling yA, rayjay knows his stuff, all I tell you is from him, dude is wicked smart on this.

ccritters is great, ordered from him 3 times, while he is bad at sharing tracking info. his prices can't be beat and you'll get your stuff

nah its just basic principle, they need food 24/7 because they don't have stomachs, only intestines and they are communal creatures. Cruel is not having enough numbers, they thrive better that way and it makes your life easier, it costs ZERO more to maintain 30 than it does 5
