Hi there, I am starting a cycle for a saltwater tank and I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with? I bought a 12lb lr and ls yesterday at 6pm but I didnt add the water until today about noon...they didnt tell me that it shouldve been done immediately, will the lv and ls be useless? i added another lv rock today as well about 9lbs to hope it helps the tank better. i have 2 emperor 400 filters, are they okay for saltwater and can i remove the wheels?

All live rock is, is rock with bacteria that feed on ammonia and nitrite. All a cycle is, is the process of growing bacteria on the rock. If it was exposed to air, the bacteria most likely died, but it doesn't really matter because during the cycle, the rock will grow more bacteria. Just let it go, and check your levels in a few weeks to see where you are at.

adding a good skimmer after the cycle will be something that you will not regret - you dont need it now, as it would just rob the system of the decaying matter that you need to develop/ feed bacteria
