    ii2ik,

RE: "I found the Remora in vancouver for 260$ CDN "

Comes to about $195 US...add in that "grusome" sales tax (17%?) you guys have up there and that is WAY to much for a Remora (the "best" hangon you can get IMHO)

    Check out Marine Depot

They have the Remora with the MaxiJet 1200 pump for $163.95 or with the Rio 800 for $158.95...both good pumps, the MaxiJet a little more popular.

They also have the Remora with the drain fitting mod -

for $209.95 - (looks like without pump ) - way to much. Could easily add mod yourself with a little "dremel" work and trip to home depot. (you are cutting acrylic, not glass, so would be quite easy)

The pre-filter a really worthwhile add-on...which may not be necessary for a 25 gal...but great for getting at that stuff that likes to ride water surface...I would seriously consider...

Have a friend here in US order for you, or just have shipped to them and have them bring up or come down and get...- that could save you big bucks !! - Any pet store dealer in Bellingham would do for you I would think..

Really worthwhile if you combine with a light order also...

    Consider

You are right, the Remora is much better in US. A guys told me to buy the Reef-316H. Never heard of that one before? Is there some of you that know a little bit on that protein skimmer?
Here is the link where to get it:

I still think that the Remora is better, maybe just because there is a lot of reviews that put it to the top of protein skimmer hang on. For the Reef-316H, could not find any reviews of it since its new on the market...

WOW been i while since last visit here! Well i must give you an update! I had a 33G reef tank and finally got the Aqua-C Remora Pro on it with a Mag3. I bought 4xT5 (50/50) with a 30G sump! It was a good setup to begin with! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

    33G tank

7 months later, i wanted more! So i bought a 180G tank with a 66G sump. I am still in the project. Sold my 33G tank 2 weeks ago and start the 180G reef tank about the same time.

    180G tank
    66G sump
    3x250W MH with PFO reflectors
    double PFO ballast
    ICECAP 250W
ICECAP 660 and 3 VHO true artinic
Sequence Dart pump on closed loop
    Velocity T4 as return pump
around 160 pounds of base rock and 100 pounds of live rock with 40 pounds of aragonite sand.
I use 3 Reefrats, its like sea swirl but in my opinion, better and less expensive!

ok ok i will stop writing,...here's the pictures ;D

    Hood

    overview

I have tried 2 ways for the return in the purpose of knowing which one make the less bubble and noise, both of them are good. one of them making flow, so i keep it like that.

    Hey Very nice setup! Congrats!
The first mod I would make would be to move your heater into the sump. ;D What do you plan on keeping in your tank? Also do you have a link to the wave makers(sea swirl copy)?
    Great job again!, Scott

i presently have a hippo tang, a yellow tang, a six line wrasse and 2 ocellaris clown. I will mostly keep SPS and LPS.
My next choice is going to be 12 green chromis and a Salfin Desjadini Tang.
Also getting a pair of Bellus Angel.

probably will have a little more with time.
