Starting from Day one.....

With my 90 I estimate on hardware basics I have about $4000 into it. I bought a 75g tank and stand with everything needed to get started for $400.

Now, I had no idea what I was doing, so I thought the Jebo PC light fixture was state of the art and the Jebo skimmer kicked some serious ***.

Since I purchased the set up, I have replaced everything out. Even the tank. Upgraded to a 90. The only things left from the original set up are the overflows and the stand.

If you add in all the incidentals and livestock, I would drive the estimate up to about $6000. But I am at a point now where I can let it coast. The tank has it's issues, but nothing drastic. It's a nice stage to be at.

And Linda, I still think you should get a small 20g long. You have the hardware. You could set it up pretty much free of cost. Did you keep your rock and sand? Throw a mated clown pair in there and let it go. They won't die.

 

I think whether people want to admit it or not, we've all bought junk. It's how we learn about what is good and what is bad. (unless you have a friend who tells you the right way) I know I learned and learned and learned
No...no time for a 20 even. Got the call today, I go to Atl. to tear down on Sunday after bringing hubby to the Augusta airport, then next week I might be going to Ft. Stewart to set up another job, for 4 or 5 days. It happens like that. Feast or famine and I can't rely on my son to not kill a tank. He can't even take care of himself.

 

Thats classifed info here... in 7 months its classified as if my wife knew how much exactly Ide be a dead man LOL
