    I found my answer out on the internet I think, seems regular old pvc glue will work fine, so long as it is approved for drinking water, and like 95% of them are.

    You should be fine--I have 1 inch between baffles and I am only using 2 baffles instead of 3. If your sump is deep enough the bubbles have too far down to travel to make it to the return pump.
