    yea........i can't lift the tank in the slightest. so i think im gonna wait till my first water change then i'll lift and fix o and i noticed these tiny little centipede looking things crawling around my LR are thee bad or no ? what r they?

    Those are most likely Bristle worms and not an overly bad polycheate.  Don't touch them with your bare hands as the bristles pack a punch.

    It is better to shim the tank stand and not the tank, do you have a jack that might work in helping wwith the weight issue?

    hi, ok now i've dabbled in freshwater but im new to this whole saltwater thing. From what i've heard before if you test your water and the test can read Nitrate then the cycling process is pretty close to being finished or finished is this true about saltwater??

    Like Matt said " probably ". Maybe it would be better to monitor the Nitrites and when they decline you will know that things are close to finishing. BTW, apologies for being obvious, but make sure the test kits you have are for saltwater :)

    oops :/ i dont have a saltwater ammonia test(freshwater) CRAP!! well i guess i'll b getting a new one tomorrow. i also noticed brown bacteria on my filter cartriges so thats a good sign

    o and i just got back from a small vacation and my tank had gone up to 90 degrees i know this i bad but i have no way of controling my ac so i left it off and i didn't think to turn off the heater.......so now i can't see the two serpent starfish that came withe the LR do u think they could have survived ?????

    geez and also anything i can buy for the tank to keep it from overheating while im gone and the house starts to heat up?? or should i just turn off the heater and go????
