starting new reef tank need setup help!!

having problems keeping the temp stable flux's between 72 in the morning and 80 at evning found a heater dead so working on a temp controller to get all my heaters on the same page.. also started a new diy chiller/heater my bud gave me a water cooller that has a instant hot water and cold water plus a fast cool fridge as part of it,has a chiller plate and a condensor,have to check to see what materials in the system to see if saltwater safe..

 

also p/u a 2900 gph sump pump to see if it helps with my flow issues will install next week

 

had my first water overflow carpets are all pulled back and fans are running, made the mistake of filling a 5 gal water bottle with ro/di water and forgot that it was on and went out for the night got back and all over the place... good thing i guess that it wasnt the tank. going to maybe try one of them reeflo pumps that are on trial dont know if to go with a 3600 or 6000 , 6000 sounds like so much water.. the 2900 i ordered from ebay never showed got lost in the mail? atleast was insured will try again w/ external pump

after many hours of reading on 3reef decided to go with dry rock and add small amount of live rock going to take the time to make it all live myself slowly,
my diy "fast cool" chiller is slowly progressing looks like will have to have it drained of freon and redo the lines then refill to test.
found a problem with one of my heaters on all the time my temp swings durring the day have calmed down, will keep reading 3reef and post more pics after get a new pump and dry rock installed. feel free to sujest pump size for return from sump, have 50 gal sump with 1500 gph overflow dual 1" returns

 

talked with reeflo and ordered a blackfin 6000..

 

got the blackfin 6000 in and running had some plumbing leaks blew apart a 2" coupler water leaked,cleaned up replaced . not perfectly happy pump will almost loose prime when turned off think i mounted to high. attaching pics of new setup

 

running pump at maybe 50% and my 1500 gph overflow just roars lol water almost to the top edge turn down little will tie in second tank to let the pump run a little faster, local acrilic shop will make me a wider hob overflow to my specs for 75$ cdn will fit with 2" down pipe,
heat controller is done just need to clean up the wiring or box it up in some kind of case 110 volts exposed under tank is not a smart idea.
