Starting saltwater mixing

    Hi guys i got my water from my rodi unit i have the water in pails. I add the salt and was wondering if i use the powerheads and the heater together. Should i use the them seperate or together ?

    I mix my water using a 5 gallon bucket and just throw my heater and powerhead both in the bucket and let it go.I also mix my salt on the high sg side as it's easier to get your target sg by just adding water vs waiting for more salt to dissolve.

    I find that my maxi jet 1200 heats up the water enough while mixing so don't use a heater anylonger. You def can use a heater and powerhead though, sure. I usually mix at least overnight 12hrs or so before doing my water change.

    together for me also, when the heater is required (some months water standing 24 hours in my 5 gallon bucket, will reach 28 - 30 degrees anyway)

    I am about to start my tank so is it neccessary to heat the water
