I have a 28 gallon nano cube. I am starting it completly over. I have cleaned the tank and ready to go. I had crused coral in it last time, I think I am going with sand. Any recommendations? What type and how much sand in a 28 gallon tank?

I've been told that live sand is pointless, as dry sand will become live very quickly. The bacteria in bags of live sand might also already be dead by the time you put the sand in the tank, as you don't know how long the sand has been in the bag ;)

It depends on how much sand you want ;)

Alright so I got some Ocean direct caribbean live sand put it in and filled it up with water. It is super cloudy. Should I have the filtration on or off so it can settle?
