starving goby

    My bullet goby was doing great but now i think he is starving. he has gotten way thinner than he used to be. i dont think i can feed him manually cause hes to chicken to lol. is there anyway to replenish the sand with more food or any way to make sure hes getting enough to eat?

    get some established sand from a local fellow reefer. What size tank are you running? I would vote against "manually feeding" lol.

    make sure you are feeding pellets that sink--I make sure some go into the rocks so he is the only one that can find them

    i have a 55 gallon... i have sinking pellets and i have been putting some on the floor already as well as trying to bury some in the same for him to bite at but my hermits and emerald crabs are digging them up for themselves... i'm thinking i might have too big of a clean up crew

    he may have other ailments. i have 2 sleeper gobies that go right for the pellets before they even hit the substrate.... not the same goby but they also sand sift.
