    to me this sounds like the fish may have velvet or ich I would highly recomend placing in a qt tank and treating with copper and garlic I hope he dosn't die on you

    I noticed most people must have mised the coment about the little white specks

    sorry for your loss kohle tangs are cool looking fish I guess I have been lucky not to have had a sick fish yet and no ich in my tank I pray I dont ever have to deal with this

    I hope you don't either. I just hope my sailfin tang does ok he got a gash on him from the kole tan, and now today he looks a little stressed, but he's eating and I will feed him garlic just incase. Thanks for the help and info though!

    I am really sorry for your loss. I lost a Kole Tang last week. He was a great eater, algae, nori, mysis, whatever I put in the tank. He was eating to just fine on Monday and dead on Tuesday for no reason i could see. He was one of the most active fish in that tank. On a brighter note we picked up a Chevron Tang this weekend. He is in QT now and eating like a pig..Karma to you...

    what kind of setup are you runing and how much flow also was your skimmer runing properly biggest killer of tangs is low oxygen or ammonia in the system skimmers are great for adding it also lots of flow especialy at the surface helps add o2 to the water
