Status

Well I have not posted in a while but I figured I would give an update on my tank. I came down with a horrible case of ick which I believe came from a clown fish purchased from a pet store ( I know I should have a hospital tank). I lost all my fish except for the clown fish which pulled through without any problems. My lighting system bit the dust due to a nice electrical storm we had about a week or two ago (was not plugged into surge protector). I am now lighting with a 220w PC hood and 2 40 watt strip lights. My anemone and corals look like they are suffering pretty bad from it. I am in the process of trying to find a new lighting system but I am strapped for cash at the moment so if anyone know where I can pick up a nice 5' hood that will handle most softies and anemones let me know. Anyway, I am going to be posting a little more often and I hope to have my tank back in order shortly.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I am looking for anything over 400 watts that is 5' long. I am in the process of moving as well so I figure I would get the lights after the move. I will probably stick to VHOs.
