I had a Maroon Clown disappear the other day, I have taken all tubing and filters apart and checked the overflow box (I learned this lesson because my other Maroon lived in the overflow box for 2 months).

I assume it's dead because I can't find it anywhere. I never found any flesh or body, it's been about a week now.

What do you do when you are pretty positive a fish died in the tank and you can't find it? Let everything eat it and hope for the tank to stay balanced at the same time?? Any suggestions?

Let the cleaner crew eat it.

We have had a several fish magically disappear over the last year. I hate that when it happens. If you can't find them, not much you can do but hope that they were "disposed of" properly by their little tankmates and watch your levels. Don't forget to keep an eye on ammonia if things are dying in the tank. Just had a bad experience with high ammonia (much thanks to Phoenix for suggesting I check the ammonia) and lost a few fish. Our tank has been established long enough that we had stopped checking for ammonia because it had not been an issue. Oops.

If you have kids, you can always tell them they went back to the ocean to find their father. . . :)

Thanks everyone, I guess I've done all I can then. My ammonia levels are fine I'm just having nitrate problems so I'm hoping my DIY refugium project to replace my wet/dry helps this!
