as I was cleaning with a razor, a corner of the blade chipped off into the tank, is this something I should be concerned about in terms of rust? Could it somehow poison the tank?

    How big the tank ?
Razor blades are made of surgical steel , YES it will begin to rust, and it's a little sliver of blade i dont think it will affect the tank all that much say 38 gallon up ?
but any thing smaller i would myself want it found and removed
