I'm not going to ask what context that quote was taken from :D I think it's safer that way.

The LEDs look great! You seem to be well on your way! Please keep us updated on it's progress.

Threading LED wires through the heatsink... hahaha

Thanks for the kind words, and definitely look forward to keeping this updated as much as possible. LED's are AWESOME!!! No whites on and the V/RB's dimmed all the way down is perfect moonlight.

Next on my list of purchases is a Eheim Jager TruTemp 100 Watt Fully Submersible UL Approved Heater. Then a power strip with built in timers.

I bought a viaaqua 100 watt heater and haven't been happier with it. It has an external thermostat for temp control.

I've got a jager and it works very well, the 250 is just too big! Power strips with times are invaluable IMO lol. Lowes and places like that have a lot of them.

I've seen those with the external thermostat and they seem like the way to go!

I will never look back lol. I'm so happy with it that I will be buying more once I have the money. I just like knowing that I can set it for where I want it instead of guessing.

Yep, Lowes has one with 8 outlets, 4 of which are individually programmable and it's way cheaper than buying separate timers for each driver of my lights.

I have read that the Jager is extremely accurate as well and the selling point for me was that it was fully submersible. I am running the heater in my return section of my sump and it needs to be fully submerged when I do top off. I already had one short out because it got a little damp on the top.

Stick- is the viaaqua fully submersible since it has a remote? Or does the top still need to be above the water line?

be careful which of those you get. I got one that I thought would work like that and it turns on the 4 on the timed side are all on the same timer, and can't be programmed individually. It worked out but I wish I knew that before I dropped $20 on it

Yes it is fully submersible. I would never buy a heater that wasn't. I didn't even know they made ones that aren't lol.
