I think he moved it and the torch to the 60.

Great updates Steve. Maybe I can use my muscle at FedEx to get some overnight shipping of frags from you :D

thank you Jason - I upped the flow with a new 12,000 lph K Clone
the Elegance and the torch could not stand it ("feel" rather than real knowledge) - I felt sorry for them to be honest - I moved them both to the 60 where the flow is a modest 40x tank turnover rather than the 60+ I have now in this set up

the hammer is now in the only relatively calm spot in the tank
and the only area that I ever get red cyno (LOL)

thank you Puffer Chick , but Ill be honest and say if leather corals came in blues and purples , I would have saved myself the worries of SPS LOL

Pics look great Steve. What kind of plugs are those? Never seen them before. They look like the regular ceramic plugs covered in rubber or something.

If you don't find a name for it, I suggest Steve call it Twinkie Digitata

I did Slocal, and they thanked me for it. to fast and furious in the 5ft these days.

    Thank you Sparky

you have T5s ? How many, you might find Birdsnest and Montis fare well for you if you have 4 x T5S - Im keeping the Birdsnest bottom 3rd plenty of flow but its colour paled when I had it higher, its coming back now.

never seen any , googled it and didnt find any, so it was either encourage coralline or go for the Purple Milli and Montis.

thank you, and thanks for the ID Ill google that and confirm thats what I have.

Thanks Luna - these plugs are cast with a stone in them - did you ever do any work with enamal craft? as thats the best way I can describe them, when I was younger we had little moulds and poured liquid enamel in them along with something like a dice or a flower etc , when it set you could make them into key rings - and that seems to be the technique used on these plugs - its definitely a plastic of some sort, and as we all know coralline loves plastic and so it seems do corals.

It does look edible , doesnt it. LOL

Yeah, um, don't eat it Steve :)

What I find most rewarding about keeping SPS corals is that once you get the hang of it and they start to grow and become more colorful, you feel like you've reached an important milestone in the hobby. They are some of the most difficult corals to keep after all and once they all start to grow out, the effect is spectacular. Truly a sight to see.
