You're being too humble my friend :D

Hey now, I don't recall seeing any new-ish pictures of your tank lately? Hint hint!

yes, totally agreed, went through some early anxieties (up at 2am etc to turn on actinics and see if all where still where they should be)
softies can seem a bit add and forget once you have been keeping them a while, which is a practice that would go wrong quickly in a tank with SPS in I believe.

I bet it is in the main- we all get dissapointments though, thats par for the course IME

    I second the hint

thats a grape scrolling monti - and doing really well for me now, once I got the flow sorted that it needs

been 4 weeks since any additions on this set up
    so overdue IMO

Got 3 new SPS frags last Friday from same vendor, hence the cake looking plastic frag plugs

not great quality images, the 1st and 3rd ones a a pale blue colour and the middle one is a light green

FTS - with 2 of the new frags in temporary lower half locations (they where a long way from the halides in the shop DT

recently started supplementing Alk - Sea Chem reef builder
    Mag - 1570
    Calc - 480
DKH - 8- 9 (hence supplementing to try and maintain at 9

FTS to include new additions plus a couple of GSP islands on the sand bed - to replace the LPS that could not handle the flow

tank is looking great! Now you have loads of calcium hungry corals, any plans on a calcium reactor?

    Thank you Inwall75

    Thanks Triplemom

Phoenixhieghts - its something Im considering, I am currently doing 5%water changes each week with coral pro at 1.026 - my calc levels maintain between 440 and 468 over the 7 day period
my mag levels , are hovering between 1470 and 1500
the high numbers are achieved if I test Monday after water change Sunday and the low numbers I get when testing Saturday

Im currently working out demand so Im testing twice most weeks
Im also making allowances for my heavy fisted plunger use and as such Im not reacting to the minor fluctuations I am recording at present.

DHK was the 1st casualty - tested it some weeks ago at 9 on a Monday , and measured a drop to 8 or even 7.? by the following Saturday, so I am adding reef builder, just over half teaspoon per day and its meant Im steady at 9 now

my numbers on calc and mag are high and have always been high since a 6 month relationship with purple up, when it was a FOWLRACCSF (and chocolate chip starfish)

I do have the supplements - Seachems reef advantage calc and mag
and for the time being I am going to micromanage my reef

the above will change as they start to grow, and there will come a time that I wont be able to keep up with demand , adding powder supplements to my top off water

Ive been checking prices on the aquamedic 3 way dosing set up and Im probably going to semi automate to that within a couple of months
