here is the cream colored ( spelling for Larry) loveliness

here is the colour now (spelling for Jason)

its hard to see due to my picture taking skills, but the growth tips are blue and there is already traces of blue on the main stem around the polyp tips the place where the polyps come out of?

here is another that was creamy brown when I got it and wants to be blue now

This was a slight blue when I got it and now its getting purple on the polyps

Thank you Reef Sparky - I have noticed that with softies previously things like Zoanthids, you can frag a colony and place the frags in different locations in the tank and end up with colour shade variations on what where originally the same shade of coral

Thank you reefmonkey - yes I have had 3 or 4 notable growing SPS , some of them you can only tell when you compare with old images , but the one on my avatar has grown at a much faster rate than any of the others

Thank you Jason I got a couple of new frags at weekend - 1 x brown milli with cream polyps and 1 x brown acro with green polyps
Im determined to have something that does not progress towards blue/ purple LOL

    thank you Siddique

Tank is looking good Steve. Are those frag plugs just the lids from soft drinks bottles ;D Where do you get all your SPS from btw? I mainly just see the same ol' LPS and Softies when i go to the market.

Reefspaky is right. Most of the time the corals at the stores bare no resemblance to them once they go in your tank. I guess they just have them under Display lights to try to catch your eye. Once they go into my tank however, they all seem to go a pinky-beige-flesh colour

frag plugs are plastic resin with filler in- sealed up
you need to go to the new area which is on the left hand side of the old area - away from town centre and 5 minutes walk - from the front its mostly cold water and large Koi and Goldfish vats , but walk down the isle and turn left and there is a salt water shop that specialises in aqua cultured SPS corals and I get all mine from there now

Looks great Steve. I love looking at older pictures of corals and tanks because you don't notice the growth unless you compare the two.

    thank you amcarrig

its very true, you look at them every day but dont notice the growth
these tank threads are great IMO as you can catalogue your purchases and keep track of the growth

Ok, i admit. Im like a woman when it comes to directions. Remember we said we would use the 3 lady shop as a bearing from which we can direct each other to other places in the market. Well where in relation is the new area from them? :-[ Sorry for being a bit dim-witted
