    Thanks Larry
Alex didnt capture an image of that coral for me yesterday
I wanted shots mostly of SPS showing PE
This guy is growing, putting out new plates like the back of a Stegasuarus Dino
has a couple of algae spots but since changing to Rowa these and the turf algae on the rockwork are receding

this image was taken a couple of weeks ago

    Thank you Chris

    Thanks Jason
I am feeding the tank not on a daily basis but every other day
I am currently using Reef Plus (amminos and vits) phytoplex, accel and chrome plex ( all at min dose and only 1 of these per week)
I have a tropic marin product called Photon, which I have used once per fortnight
and also Marc Weiss - reef bugs - which of the things I add, gets the SPS most excited
last but not least , Cyclopeeze, which again causes a bit of a stretch from the wafting fingers

    thank you amcarrig
Yes, much more detail and very little blur, I was impressed because he managed to capture colours , where as with most of my images the colours looked washed out

    Thanks Matt
I know what you mean smaller volume of water = greater variations in parameters.

Update - here is my STN Milli, image taken about 1 month or so ago
    here it is today

Jason McKenzie mentioned on another thread that expossed skeleton is a prime location for hair algae . I will now be able to +1 on his comment should it come up again in the future . The irony that this is in all honesty the only GHA in my tank is not lost on me

the base is doing really well as you can see, lots of new branches growing out from it so Im still hopefull for this corals future

I am attacking the GHA by extravagance with Rowaphos, using 1/2 of the recomended QTY but changing it every 2 weeks, going to try and starve it out.

another coral that has been doing really well over the last month is my Avatar Stag

you can see from this picture, the new growth since the Avatar image was taken about 1 month ago, the tips are a nice blue colour, which you cant really tell from this image

Everything looks awesome, Steve. I think once I get back home in August and get the tank running well again I am going to go full SPS.

will be ready at the weekend to partially automate my system, with the Bubble Magus TM-01 triple dosing set
Im only going to auto dose Calc and Alk to start with and continue to dose Mag with my top off water on an infrequent basis ( Im not notiicing much if any demand / reduction on Mag on a weekly basis)

the cap is continuing to grow albeit not as uniformly as it was, Im now getting some definite plates (potential frags)

another good grower for me, lots of new branches on the base over a 4 week period
again I am considering waiting until these get 2 or 3 inches tall and will frag some off

not easy to see on the image, but this coral is now starting to develop blue colouration on the branches around the polyp openings (ports? IDK?) looks great under actinic for the last couple of hours each day, and this coral is a definite night owl - PE is average during daylight hours, but great at night
