    Nice corals steve that monti is sweeet and super bright also love the colony of birds nest you got!!

    I have been asked by a couple of good people on here for updates on these corals

    this is how they looked Sept 10th

    Birdsnest looks to be doing OK, decent polyp extension and some new white growth at tips

    Monti - not so great, changed the location and orientation to expose face to more flow
    rock work in my tank is pretty algae free, as you can see, but the monti seems to be a magnet for it

    I disagree about the monti, Steve. It appears to have excellent new growth. The birdsnest has fattened up, it appears. The polyp extension looks great.

    The algae you speak of on the monti, is that on the base outside the cup? I don't see any algae.

    maybe its not noticeable when you see it everyday on growth
    the algae is mostly on the back of the monti and its that darker green stuff that that grows on the glass sometimes and requires a few more sweeps with the magnet than the standard micro algae does

    Im keeping it in check with a babies toothbrush (new , not snatched from my lad)

    Looks good, two of my favorites also.
