    Thanks Yamaharider

I have now changed my avatar to remind me of my eventual target
I want to focus on SPS again but its probably be going to be 12 months or so before I get even close to where I was previously in terms of numbers and development

Sorry to hear you had to tear down but the rebuilding part is always great. I like what you have going on with the flow too.

Yes, I have 4 twin wavermakers, 2 on either side and they each do 1500 GPH so a total of 60,000 GPH but spread reasonably well in the 80+ gallons of water

    Thanks Guy

I have gone for the tiered set up, so there are overhangs on 3 levels - the rocks at the bottom are largest and then they get smaller and narrower as the height increases
I need to get a top view image taken

it means I have lots of horizontal shelf for coral placement and also early days, 3 stages for new SPS frags to light acclimatise

6 weeks now, and thus far all I have is Astra Tecta snails

diatoms have been and gone now - another quick episode , arrived at week 3 , only a minor cocoa storm and where gone by end of week 5

Im running the lighting now for 6 hours per day ( now the diatoms are gone, I want to ensure the snails do have something to consume and Ill cut back on lighting or increase CUC depending on the rockwork condition)

I have access now to mail order SPS - one of the shops I traded regularly with as a Tao Bao site (Chinese e bay) and for 3 bucks USD I can have corals, CUC, and equipment delivered to my door ( 2 hour journey by car)

I got majority of my SPS frags from them - the ones that looked like they where on cake shaped frag mounts

my target now is to get the tank stocked with the 3 fish I want (Kole Tang, Radient wrasse and Christmas Wrasse ) over the next 6 weeks and then wait until December before introducing my 1st SPS frags

Thanks 2 in 10 - yes I experimented with a number of different sized/ brand wavemakers ( the cabinet under the tank proves this LOL) and found that the 4 x twin 1500 GPH models gave me the best possible spread and gives me the choice of having some LPS corals on the lower level, whilst making the top half , really good for the SPS I will be focusing on.

Thanks Dasco - yes this is the 1st time I have set a reef tank up with a list for the fish, I normally take each introduction as it comes, bearing in mind what was already in there
