Every thing looks wonderful. The tank progression seems amazingly fast now, filling in so quickly. :)

    Thanks Alex
my avatar coral now officially has offspring - got it puttied into the rock work today

    Thank you Gregg

    Thank you John

Thanks Mike - after the 1st one it was OK, but the 1st one was a bit painfull (fragged with the back of my hand)

Its OK Nismo - Thankfully still only positives to report (aside from the 3 rock pile up and 6 new frags)

    Thank you Patrick

    Thanks Cheryl
I am getting some good growth on a number of frags and colonies

I think aside from maybe a couple more acan colonies , on or close to sand bed
its finished - so sit back and watch it fill out is my plan now

absolutely stunning of course! How many powerheads do you have running in the tank....... I think I see 4? Are they on a wavemaker?

I cant wait to see the acans when you get them! These are one of my favorite corals, and was one of my first bigger coral purchase! However I do find that they do not do as well in a SPS tank due to the clean water!

    Thank you Schackmel
there are the 4 twin powerheads you see each at 6,000 lph
and there is a smaller Seio at the back of the rock down low pushing water down one end to the other

I know what you mean about Acans or any LPS in a very clean system
I have a similar routine to you, in that I am feeding daily / majority is target feeding, but I also broadcast feed frequently

got some Marc Wiess reef bugs to add to the feeding
the wrasse and the LPS go wild once that hits the water

I love that tabling Hyacinthus, such a nice large piece. I really like the looks of tabling acropora. It took months for mine to color up, and finally starting to show good growth, because a certain member of this forum doing product test alerted me to a dosing issue, umm cough, cough Steve.
I guess once tanks fill in it is just tending the garden, with fragging and enjoying the view.

Its a very nice piece, it was lighter when I got it and this one colored up faster than most of my other corals, so I was pleased with that
dosing - totally agreed , as soon as my dosing became automated and equal amounts delivered every couple of hours, coraline went crazy
if you recall that back glass was scraped almost clean in September
its almost fully pink again now

Yes, I got about half a dozen decent sized colonies this time round
plus the frags I have taken myself, this takes me up to 30 individual pieces of SPS coral in there and a dozen LPS corals
nothing else - just SPS and LPS - I needed something for the lower 3rd and thats why I got the lobo, acans, torch and wellsos etc
