Steve which putty do you use. The stuff I got gets hard as a rock and I have a hard time getting it back off?

I use the D+D geiseman brand, it does go hard as a rock but its brittle and the plug can be snapped off - this either leaves the putty on base of plug or on rock , which with the D+D brand is Ok as it dries purple so it does not look to bad

Thank you Puffer Chick , they are beautiful, the Pink birds nest and the monti are doing the best of the SPS , so either of those 2 would be ideal starter SPS corals IMHO

Im doing 5 gallons per week Reef Sparky, which has actually come down since moving to SPS and purchasing additives etc I used to do 10 gallons per week so it was 15% almost and now its about 7%
I cant recall missing a week in ages , just a die hard water changer really
not saying its right, just saying its me.

thank you jonjonwells . yes the colour is holding nicely, I got the light acclimatisation better this time around, moved it up in 3 stages , started bottom 3rd, then half way and now in top 3rd - moved it once per fortnight and Ill stick with this method for future additions

Glad to see your method is paying off, you surely do have some beautiful coral there! :) Making me jealous.
