    Looking great Steve! I think your tank is definitely liking the extra intensity. Shows T-5s, without individual reflectors, really can be insuficient for light loving corals. MH with good reflectors really seems to be getting the light where it needs to be.

    For the bulbs you mentioned Giessmann bulbs, are these the Megachrome Coral, or Megachrome Marine bulbs? They look pretty blue in the picture, do you feel that, that the images accurately represent the hue?

    the T5s I had were Geisseman, a mix of Aqua Blue and Powerchrome actinic plus
    these MH lamps I have are XM , 15k lamps and the tank has changed ambient colour over last couple of weeks, after the initial burn in ( looked bright white for 1st week or so)

    the blue tint comes from 2 x 1 watt LED spotlights, which I have been using to feature corals in its path

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Noticeable growth and coloration change, I really like the image looking down the tank, looks like a reef (what we all strive for).
