Ah yes, that's right. Sorry, must be worn out from all these power outages. Looks great though either way

Metal halide was a good move. Colors are coming back good and I see some growth. Everything is looking real nice Steve. Congrats!

    Than you Mr Bill

    Thank you Cheryl
its been slow and sure with the avatar coral , its tabling out sideways now so I slightly turned it a few weeks back in order its more visible and you see more of the blue tips now
I also like the image from down one end as you see less bare rock and the tank looks much fuller.

How are you coping with the power outages, hope they do not last to long each time?

Small 2KW generator. Sunday power was down from, IIRC around 9:30am to 2am. Yesterday just a few hours. Hopefully everything is fixed now. I know some people locally were being told no power until Friday  So, I just keep reminding myself it could have been worse... Everything here seems to be okay, except my McCosker wrasse disappeared after the last outage. I saw him when the power was out, after I plugged in the generator, but after I unplugged the generator and plugged the power back in, he disappeared and he is MIA again tonight. Hope he didn't get scared and jump out somehow, although, the tank is covered and I can't find him on the ground...

good news on the generator, hopefully good news on the wrasse very soon

    update
the 1 watt LED spots have now been replaced
    [IMG]

these are made by Bubble Magus - Reef Free
and come in various lengths and wattages
    [IMG]
they fit snugly over the side of rimless set ups, or can be slotted onto the euro bracing as I have done with mine
the cylinder with LEDs is rotational so you can change angle light hits the aquarium and feature certain corals with it
it has a wider spread than the spotlights I had previously

really helps with the red Monti cap and the Yellow Monti Confusa
with both of these corals glowing under this new supplement

Looking good Steve, you really can see the glow! ;) The replacement supplements along with your new lighting appear to be a very promising duo!!

    thank you Nismo400rgtr

I have also added a new black vinyl background and started the process of scraping the 12 months of coraline build up
wanted the black as it should also help make the coral colors stand out better

the last one is a green / purple combination
so fingers crossed it stays that way under my MH lighting and does not become a green/ brown combination
