Very nice Steve, I think the last one is a Valida, Dingo did a COTM thread about them.

Congrats on the new adds, very beautiful colonies. The first one looks to be a prostrata. Agree with Corailline on the third one, not sure about the second.

    Thank you Cheryl

I checked that out for care tips and location advise etc

    Thanks John

all 3 OK this morning in their respective temp locations on lower levels of rockwork

had to move a couple more LPS into the 4ft to create space for these
may have to shuffle some pieces about a bit to ensure the green/ purple Valida gets optimum location later.

    Thank you Nismo
the LFS had 3 colonies of that Valida, and my only regret thus far is only picking up 1 of them

    Thank you JJL

    update

spent much of Sunday, re arranging some corals in order to better utilise space, and include the new additions

picked up a couple of packs of putty during trip to LFS Saturday

    had 1 very sad accident
    [IMG]
this coral had shown fantastic branch growth over the 10 - 12 months I have had it
but in all this time, it had not bothered to encrust all over the base it came with
this made the coral very top heavy, and required a lot of putty to keep it secure
I had more space on the left hand side of the aquarium, which I wanted to use in order to better display this coral
    so coral removed
    large flatish rock removed
golf ball sized piece of putty used to secure coral to rock
rock lifted to put back in tank
coral promptly falls of rock and hits the floor

Yes - within 10 seconds of it occuring I did question my parentage
and lamented the fact "why did I not put my other hand on the base of the coral to ensure it stayed there during transit"

hopefully majority of these pieces "frags would sound like I did it intentionally, so I will call them pieces" make it.

    Oops. :-/

Looks like the wrasse is heavily invested in checking out your handy work.

Sure looks like a lot of growth to me. I can not even pick out my favorite tabling acropora of yours anymore. I am guessing it's the one on the left side.

Looks like you are getting some very nice green coloration going on.

The wrasse knows how to rub in the mistake
I swear I can see his lips going "Tut, Tut, Tut" as he swims over it

that is the tabling acro, its now more under the Blue LED supplement, so it looks more green than before
that thing has doubled in size since I got it, the growth is all outwards
with the very front branches being the longest all around the coral

    Thanks John
lesson learned the hard way for me
1st time this has happened, but once, is once to often IMO

still if all the pieces make it, it will make for an interesting area of the tank, with growth in several directions
