You've got a lot accomplished! Nice job on the sump.

The tank is coming along great and those are two very nice clowns.

Picked up my final pieces for my sump. Got the overflow box today; ordered the kit that came with the lid and a pump for the siphon. Went to Lowes and got tubing and pvc fittings and plumbed everything. Right now I'm just circulating the water in the sump tank with a heater to warm it up. Got the sand and rubble rock in the refugium, about 5-5.5" dsb. Going bowling and when I get back ill get everything started, do a few power failure tests, and ill be that much closer to corals.

Everything is flowing nicely. Got my pumps pumping, overflow overflowing, flux capacitor, fluxing.

I let my fuge settle after filling up but still got a bit cloudy. That will go away in a day, then ill get a good shot of my system. Thanks to 3reef for lots of great advice and experience that helped my sump build go smoothly.

    Purchased my first corals!

My fowlr is now a living Reef!! I went to my lfs Unique Aquaria in Woburn Ma and they hooked me up. I got 3 small rhodactis mushrooms on a small rock:

I forget the type of rhodactis, but I'm sure someone here can help me on ID.

I also picked up a small rock with about 6-7 Dragon Eye polyps:

Great colors on both. Look great with my nighttime blues on. So excited to have my first corals, and turning my tank into a true reef! As always this was possible with help from my lfs, 3reef, and some of Steelo's youtube clips too. And here is a few shots of my sump tank up and running:

My lfs didn't have any chaeto in, but hoping to pick some up next weekend. I have had some blue/green slime issues on my sandbed in the DT but it seems to be getting better since I started the sump tank, and I also cut my lights down to 7 hours and have cut feeding down to small bits a few times a day, just enough that they can eat in 30 seconds or so. It seems to be helping cut down on the algae. Otherwise, everything is going really well, tank is awesome, love the hobby, clowns are doing fantastic, last count I had 9 hermits blue and scarlet, my two sexy shrimp are doing great. Yah.

The reefing addiction continues. Picked up a branching hammer coral with one head and a smaller second head started, along with a beautiful ricordea that has almost split into two. Beautiful colors on both, and my two sexy shrimp are loving the hammer coral! Pics soon.
