Ok. So I started on this site with a 180 gallon tank and started a build but with my budget it just wasn't do able. So I have sold off the 180 and am now building a 55 which is way more sensible. I have the 55 as my display tank and a 30 gallon to build my sump/fuge. I am currently building my stand. My tank will be drilled with the bean animal overflow. Glass needs to be ordered, 1 more bulkhead picked up and cabinet doors installed. Slowly but surely I'm getting there. I'm sure I will have many questions, so please bare with me.

Man, I saw the camo and my first thought was epic. Still looks great after what you've done though.

I seen the camo at the store and I immediately had great ideas. Then I brought it home and the boss didn't approve. She said no camo lol. So I decided to make the back of it camo just in case it were exposed somehow. Then I took it off so I could have access in case I needed it.

Thanks for the compliments! I have been working on the stand day by day and its getting better I think. I got the stand stained and clear coated. Then I cut out the openings for a doors. Didn't have access to a jigsaw so I used my sawzall. Put a couple dings in the birch. Nothing a little stain pen can't fix...I hope. Then I started to build the doors. The doors are 1x3 pine with a slot I made for Plexiglas. Then I put a film on the Plexiglas so it looks etched. Should look pretty good with the doors stained and the hardware on. So here are some more pics:

Then I went ahead and mounted a fixture for a t-12 and mounted a switch so I can illuminate the sump area for maintenance.
