    Hi all, here's the 10G nano i've started up. My site here has alot of pics from the startup.

    [Re: pic above] Theres a clam thing you can see (side on) in the middle of the shot, not sure what it is. Looks like a venus fly trap lol

    Just some nice algae etc growing, I like the colours on this rock so far.

    Good start.

    You might want to lose the top IMO. It allows for more gas exchange especially since you aren't running a sump setup.

    I had two of those clam hitchhikers on my rocks and they keep growing! They don't get any color so don't get too excited thinking you picked up a maxima.
    Great pics! I wanna see more when you get more livestock

    yeah used tap water. De-chlorinated. Not R/O or anything though.

    OMG its algae time in my tank!
    The brown has broken out on the rock tops, and last night (under moon lights) i noticed heaps of pods crusing around, pretty big ones aswell! Gonna try and get a photo of them tonight.

    Careful with Tap.. I would have your water tested with a TDS meter. Tap can be destructive to reef tanks, phosphates and heavy metal build up over time can wreak havoc! Get your water tested to be safe, and or get a RO, RO/DI, or DI unit. You will save a a lot of heartache! Awesome tank! Will be followin this thread! Love nanos!

    ro or rodi is the only way to go
    i used tap for a topoff 1 time and battled hair for the next 3 months
    love the tanks shape
