I still have not gotten a 100% ID on this creature. Most have said a LTA but some are not sure as I am not either. Anyone? I can't find a pic what a baby one looks like. It moves fast when it moves and it is a little bigger then a quarter now from the size of a dime a week or two ago.

Let it grow, but keep a close eye on it. When it gets bigger and you can get better pics, you'll have a better chance at a positive ID of whatever it is.

All the pics I can find on a LTA show they have a orange to red base and this one has a base the same color. I guess I'll have to let it grow. Thanks Bogie.

LTAs can come in a variety of colors. I currently have six of them. They have been dividing. It's pretty crazy that even between the divided LTAs I have, one is almost a flame red with plumb brown tips, two of them are a rosy pink with brownish smokey tips, and one is a fluorescent pink with cream tenticles and bright purple tips. It depends on the tank, it depends on what you feed and where they place themselves in the tank. I find them VERY intriguing. A 100% positive ID is going to be a stretch. You wouldn't think mine came from 2 original anemones.

I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I am not sure on this one. Too small for me to ID. I am very much the newbie in that department. Very cool little lifeform you have there. My vote is still to keep it. I would in a heartbeat.

After looking and looking I kind of think it may be some kind of nudibranch. Look at the third pic and I can obviously tell it it has a end that is always like the head. It has some tentacles that are more like antennas then the rest of the tentacles. These have been like it when I first found it in the tank. Maybe I am wrong again but this bugs me not knowing for sure what it is. LOL

It normally stays on a clove coral that is not looking to hot. I managed to get it out of the coral and moved to the sand bed. I then moved the coral to another spot in the aquarium and the creature found its way back to the same coral. When it is moving it moves pretty quickly. Also the coral was a frag I bought that hasn't really started to take off yet and this may be why.

I found it. I am 99 percent sure this is it. Phyllodesmium colemani nudibranch. No wonder my coral that he is hanging out in looks like crap. He is eating it.
