Stirring salt: Different test results

    My salt mix was pulling was pulling some low calcium numbers when tested ... I then stirred the salt mix prior to mixing with RO water and got much better results....

    Anyone else notice this?

    What salt are you using? if it is salinity then you need to stir the salt up before using it since the large particles will settle to the bottom of the bucket.

    I've never really tested for Ca before using my salt. Therefor, I can't really answer your question.

    if you dont mix the salt before hand, stir it in and then let it sit for a bit and see if it rises

    All your levels were probably off then. Just mix it up a bit before making some saltwater. You will be fine.

    Actually just calcium was off for me. Odd... but mixing fixed that.

    You would think they would put that on the bucket! They should certainly start.
