    i am wanting to know what everyone thinks of the fish i have and plan to put in my aquarium....so far i have:

    1 pair of tomato clowns(Amphiprion frenatus)
    1 pair of gobies(valenciennea strigata)
    2 star fish
    7 turbo snails



    i want to add 1 blue tang and 1 yellow tang....what does everyone think?

    how many more fish can i put in this tank? i have 2 canisters 1 x 1200l/h & 1 x 1000l/h running for filteration:)

    Only a canister on a 120?? Do you have a skimmer?

    i have 2 canisters!

    no skimmer, if someone can convince me they are good i will buy one.

    Skimmers pull protiens out of the water before they have a chance to get into the nitrate cycle. Less work for the bacteria and they allow for more mistakes when it comes to overstocking and overfeeding.

    Canisters do a good job keeping particulate matter out of the water but unless you clean them frequently that particulate matter can break down and you may have problems with nitrates later on.

    I have a sump model octopus skimmer and love it. Mine is a completely different design though so I cant really comment on how well that model works. Octopus skimmers do have a good reputation though so I would assume it works well. It actually reminds me of a Ramora skimmer.

    okay thanks, i am looking at getting the Octopus Module 350 Internal, i am wondering where is the intake for the water to flow in?

    im totaly new with skimmers!

    and just so everyone knows i am planning to put this on my tank, i have no sump.
