So far in my 40B I have:

    2 clown fish
    Bluefin angel fish
    Flasher wrasse
    Yellow clown goby

I am wanting to add a royal gramma and possibly a blenny but I don't want to overstock my tank.. Any input would be great :) thanks!

Yea I was thinking five would be a good number but the clown goby is just so tiny, I was hoping I could get away with a gramma.. but I hate to overstock it makes my life more complicated. :/

plus a lot of those fish are gonna be pecking the same things off rocks. ya may be alright, but if your tank is happy and not having issues i'd consider not adding stress to it. But if ya wanna it, try it.;) prob the gramma though.

Yea, that is something to think about. The angel is a new addition, Im hoping he won't nip at corals.. I have tried before, I know they are risky but angels are my favorite and my tank feels so incomplete without one!

depending on your filtration system both mechanical and biological, if you have 50 LBS of LR, and a skimmer ment for a 90 gallon tank then by all means, add your wishlist. if your runnin skimmerless with 30 LBS of LR, then id say your maxed out.

I have a 30 gal sump with more than 50lbs of LR, and im not sure what my skimmer is rated but its definitely rated for more than 40 gal... I have never had issues with phosphates or nitrates or anything and I to over feed. But I would also like to keep things that way!

yeah royal grammas can be a major pain in the ass. i would stick with what you got right now. your tank seems stable right now you wouldnt want to mess it up.
